Larkspur family home
Our namesake project: a full family home where toys, homework, and real life had to disappear for the lens without making the house feel sterile. We kept the warmth, edited the volume, and styled for both play and polish.
Design approach
Family homes win on flow. We mapped the daily circuit — entry, kitchen, table, sofa — and cleared it first, then styled the edges: baskets that hide, art that lifts, lighting that flatters tired parents and picky buyers alike.
Bedrooms got the hotel treatment with one family twist kept visible: a reading chair, a small stack of books. Buyers with kids need to see their life fitting, not erased.
What we did
- Cleared the circuit
Main walk paths went fully clear, with storage baskets doing quiet duty at every landing zone.
- Styled the table for six
The dining table seats the whole crew in photos but leaves room to circle — the shot agents lead with.
- Calmed the bedrooms
Matching lamps, pressed bedding, and one soft chair per room turned busy bedrooms into restful ones.
- Kept one lived moment
A board game shelf and a reading nook stayed, styled — proof a family thrives here.
Details from the project
Styled corners and material close-ups from the install and photo morning.
It looked like us on our best day — warm, full of life, but calm enough for buyers to picture their own.Sellers — Marin
