Wren Avenue dining room
A formal dining room the sellers used as a mail drop. We set it for six with a long wooden table, upholstered chairs, and a low centerpiece that leaves sightlines open — so the room reads generous, not staged.
Design approach
Dining rooms sell the idea of gathering, and empty ones sell nothing. We chose a table that fills the room without crowding it, with chairs that tuck fully under so the walk-around looks effortless.
The centerpiece stays low and linear — a runner, two vessels, and greenery — so the photographer can shoot straight down the table without a tall arrangement blocking the far chairs.
What we did
- Sized the table to the room
A long top with slim legs seats six while leaving a full step of clearance on every side for the showing path.
- Kept sightlines open
Low centerpiece and clear chairs at the ends keep the far wall visible from the doorway, which makes the room read larger.
- Warmed the walls
One large piece of art replaced a gallery of small frames, giving the camera a single calm backdrop.
- Finished the floor
A flat-weave rug under the table quiets chair scrape and adds the finished layer buyers expect at this price.
Details from the project
Styled corners and material close-ups from the install and photo morning.
The dining room went from storage to the photo every buyer saved. It set the tone for the whole listing.Seller — Oakland
